Season 2009 has ended for Classic Wings.

We have flown roughly 100 hrs with the Antonov2 and 80hrs with the DHC1 Chipmunk. I want to thank Aviator-Oil for there help as fellow pilot, collegue and friends.
Beside the 20.000 liters of fuel we have been using from several Avgas suppliers this year, we have been using a hudge amount of oil from you / the aviator-oil company. In excess of 400 liters W/D 100 oil, meeting the specs. far beyond the requirements we have been using in 2009. The oil was needed for regular purpose and replacement due to 50 and 100 hrs maintenance intervals. The oil was always from a good and constant quality against a fair and reasonable price. We even did get from our part 145 maintenance facility Nayak, complements about our engine, clean, no leaks, dirty or whatever.
I don't have to say that our Ash 62 is an "licenced built" Wright Cyclone Engine. As long it leaks oil there is oil in it :-) We use only a 3 liters oil per hour while the maximum allowed is 6-7 liters. Even in high performance requirements like air-displays, paradrop and this year in several movies where we were climbing to FL 110 the oil does the work.

Perhaps you are also thinking why is he using so much oil?
It is a simple reason, and we are "proud" to use it.
Our An2 and the Ash 62 engine has an operational range of minus 45 degrees celcius to plus 45 and if the engine is hot in excess of 200 degrees. Due that fact, everything in the design is a bit more overdimensioned which causes the higher oil-consumption but in an acceptable pre-calculated way.
